What Eski Tarih is for, who writes it, how claims are checked, and where to write when we get something wrong.
Eski Tarih publishes when there is something to publish. There is no schedule and no filler, and every piece stays in the archive even after we have changed our minds about it.
Eski Tarih began because the straight answers about tarih ve eski uygarlıklar were scattered across forum threads, comment sections, and messages nobody archived. We decided to write them down properly instead.
People ask about the name. There is rarely a good story behind a domain, and there is not one here either. Eski Tarih was available, it was short enough to say out loud, and it has been the name long enough now that changing it would be more confusing than keeping it.
There are questions we routinely decline. Anything that depends on facts only you can see, and anything where being wrong would cost you real money on our say so.
You can see who wrote what, and you can see everything else they wrote. That is deliberate, because it makes a bad article expensive for the person who wrote it.

Nothing gets filed under three headings at once. If a piece does not have an obvious home, that usually means it has not been thought through yet. The busiest sections are osmanlı tarihi, peygamberler tarihi and türk destanları.
Every piece here starts with a question somebody actually asked. If we cannot answer it from experience or from a source we can name, it does not get published.
We are not neutral about quality, but we are honest about incentives. Where money is involved, the page says so.

Point at the sentence. Write to info@eskitarih.com or use the contact page. Factual errors are fixed quickly, and when a correction changes the conclusion of a piece we say so at the foot of the page rather than editing quietly.
